Delete Your Account or Data

This page explains how to ask us to delete your Capawble account or specific data associated with it, what is deleted or kept, and how long the process takes. It applies to both trainers and dog parents who use the Capawble mobile apps and the web app at capawble.com.

Delete your account

To request deletion of your Capawble account, email us from the email address you use to sign in to Capawble, so we can verify the request:

Use the subject line "Delete my account" and include the name on your account. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion as described below.

The steps:

  1. Email zach@capawble.com from your account's email address with the subject "Delete my account".
  2. We confirm your identity using that email address and reply to acknowledge the request.
  3. We delete your account and associated personal data, and email you when it is complete.

Delete specific data without closing your account

If you want to remove particular data but keep your account, you can delete much of it yourself in the app (for example, removing a dog, a photo, a note, a session, or methodology content you created). For anything you cannot remove yourself, email us and we will delete it for you:

What is deleted

When you delete your account, we delete the personal data we hold about you, including:

If you are a trainer, closing your account also removes the methodology and training records you created, and the dog parents you invited will lose access to that training. If you are a dog parent, closing your account removes your parent profile and the activity you logged; it does not delete a trainer's own separate records.

What is kept, and for how long

We remove your data from our active systems within 30 days of completing a verified request. Residual copies may remain in our encrypted backups until they expire on our normal backup rotation, no later than 90 days after deletion, after which they are overwritten.

We may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements. Any such records are kept only as long as needed for those purposes. We may also keep aggregated or anonymized information that can no longer identify you.
